Dear Health Care Professional,
We are reaching out to share important information about potential fee changes for the acupuncture and Eastern medicine profession.
Fees for your profession may decrease.
State law RCW 43.70.250 requires that the cost of regulating each profession be paid for by that profession’s credential fees. Based on your profession’s financial forecast, the Department of Health (department) is considering a fee decrease to bring the profession’s fund balance into the recommended range.
The attached Cost Driver document includes proposed fee changes and financial information about your profession, including budget trends, and the financial forecast.
The department is holding public meetings to discuss these potential changes.
Acupuncture and Eastern medicine fee changes will be presented on December 6, 2022 at 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST. During the meeting, department staff will explain how fees are set and be available for questions from health care professionals and other members of the public.
